Meet Your Dentists
Dr. Gary D. Prins
Dr. Prins is the founder and senior partner of Los Alamitos Dental Care. He studied biology at the University of Pacific, then graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1976. He has been in private practice in the Los Alamitos area ever since.
Dr. Prins has vast experience and a wide range of skills in general dentistry. He especially enjoys the placement of crowns and bridges, dentures/partial dentures, and cosmetic restorations such as veneers and composite fillings.
In his free time, Gary enjoys golf, reading, and cruising around on his Harley.
Dr. John B. Wallace
Dr. Wallace graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University in 1989, majoring in zoology with a minor in Spanish literature. He then graduated with his dental degree from UCLA in 1993 and joined Dr. Prins at Los Alamitos Dental that same year.
Dr. Wallace is skilled in all areas of general dentistry but especially enjoys creating beautiful smiles with esthetic dentistry including veneers, implants, and Invisalign (certified Invisalign provider since 2002).
John lives with his son, Brandon, and enjoys golf, skiing, and reading. He's also waxing up his surfboard again after all these years.
Dr. Michael E. Zell
Dr. Zell graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in biology in 1990. He continued his dental education at the UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated in 1994. He remained at UCLA an additional year of residency in the prestigious A.E.G.D. program (Advanced Education in General Dentistry). Dr. Zell joined our practice in 1998.
Dr. Zell excels in all aspects of general dentistry. He enjoys cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), and is great with children.
Mike enjoys gardening, photography, computers, and is an avid soccer enthusiast. He lives in Tustin with his lovely wife and two daughters.
Dr. Joshua A. Winer
Dr. Winer graduated from UC Riverside in 1996 with a degree in neuroscience. He then went on to graduate from the USC School of Dentistry in 2000.
Dr. Winer joined our practice in the fall of 2000. He enjoys all phases of general dentistry, including implants and cosmetic dentistry.
Josh enjoys golf and sporting events -- he's always open to discuss his beloved Trojans and Chicago White Sox. His true love is spending time with his wife, Lilya, and three beautiful children.
